Cozy Powell was a highly respected English rock drummer who was considered one of the best in his field during the 1970s and 1980s. He was born Colin Trevor Flooks on December 29, 1947, in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England. Powell gained fame and acclaim for his powerful and versatile drumming style, as well as his explosive stage presence.
Powell played with a number of well-known bands and artists throughout his career, such as The Jeff Beck Group, Rainbow, Whitesnake, and Black Sabbath. He also released several solo albums and was a sought-after session musician.
